Stephen Brannigan MCSP HCPC MSOM specialist in sports injury, physiotherapist and injection therapy. Stephen qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in June 2000 from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown.
He was employed with Birmingham City Football Club for five seasons (four in the Premier League), from 2001 – 2006 as their first team Physiotherapist. He has treated international players from all over the world such as Kenny Cunningham (Republic of Ireland, Captain), Christophe Dugarry (France World Cup winner 1998, European Championship winner 2000), Maik Taylor (Northern Ireland, Captain), Dwight Yorke (Trinadad and Tobago, Captain) and England internationals such as Emile Heskey, Nicky Butt and Matthew Upson. Has also worked with professional golfer Peter Baker (9 tour wins and 2006 Ryder Cup Vice Captain).
He became a partner with The Physio Group in 2006 before setting up Stephen Brannigan Physio in 2019. Stephen was physiotherapist to Down Senior Gaelic Football from 2006 – 2009. He currently treats a wide range of sporting injuries and spinal complaints.
He is a specialist in Manual Therapy with extensive training to masters level including Soft Tissue Massage / Mobilisation / Manipulation Techniques, Spinal Manipulation, Injury Rehabilation and Strength and Conditioning.
He is also a member of The Society of Orthopaedic Medicine (SOM) and is qualified in practicing injection therapy since 2006
